Ponder Bear II

2 Apr 2012

In the somewhat words of my English teacher (and me):

I don’t agree at all with the school’s filtering system of the internet. If anything, the whole school should be open, from forums, blogs, and to pornography for all. What, you think it’s a distraction? People need to learn how to do certain things while in public. You’re not going to be looking up hot gay porn in the library while a 5-year-old is behind you. It teaches ethics and control. These students all know how to get around the filters - there is always a way. But they now know these ways and engage in this unfavorable activity because now there is a slight stigma to rebel against the system. Had there not been any, perhaps they wouldn’t need to know.

More kids should take more responsibility and it is the district who is ironically hindering this lesson.
